wild ProGeny Test 2024-1 (PT1)
Since the beginning of our seedstock journey, we have always been committed to advancing the Wagyu industry in the United States. We continue to challenge our team to ask what we can do better, and how to share the steps we take and what we learn with our communities and customers. By producing and collecting high volumes of data, we hope to provide transparency and create a foundation for the Wagyu breed.
WILD PROGENY TEST 2024-2 (PT2 RECAP)
We are pleased to provide an update on our PT2 progeny test results and outline the next steps in our journey. In May, we initiated PT2 by artificially inseminating 119 fullblood Wagyu cows, with the resulting calves expected in March 2025. After 87 days, our herd veterinarian conducted a pregnancy check via ultrasound, confirming 61 AI pregnancies.
WILD PROGENY TEST 2025 (PT3 PLANNING)
Preparations for PT3 are well underway, with breeding set to begin in January 2025. Similar to prior rounds, we will continue using fullblood Wagyu cows and adhere to the same program structure that has guided our previous efforts. PT3 calves are expected in the fall of 2025, and we are optimistic about the potential for this group to further enhance the quality and performance benchmarks established by PT1 and PT2.
