RED, WHITE, & WILD: Looking Back at The Big 250
The Big 250 wasn't just another online Wagyu genetics sale. Created to celebrate America's 250th birthday, the idea behind RED, WHITE, & WILD was to bring together a wide range of Fullblood Wagyu genetics in one offering that could benefit breeding programs of every size.
From foundational bloodlines to some of today's most exciting young sires, The Big 250 featured nearly 100 Wagyu embryo lots, semen from more than 70 Fullblood Wagyu sires, and a variety of bulk Wagyu semen packages, making it the largest online frozen genetics sale in the Wagyu breed. Whether breeders were looking to strengthen maternal lines, improve carcass performance, introduce outcross genetics, or invest in the next generation of herd sires, there was truly something for every program.
The Big 250 may be over, but the breeding decisions made through this offering will continue to shape Wagyu herds for years to come. We were honored to assemble an offering that reflected both the history of the Wagyu breed and the future that's being built by breeders around the world.
A Diverse Offering for Every Breeding Program
One of the goals behind The Big 250 Online Frozen Genetics Sale was to offer more than one type of pedigree.
Rather than focusing on a single bloodline or breeding philosophy, the sale featured a wide range of opportunities that allowed Wagyu breeders to make decisions based on the needs of their own program.
The sale offering included:
Foundational Japanese Wagyu bloodlines that continue to influence the Wagyu breed today
Proven industry sires with established performance records
Next-generation Wagyu herd sires backed by elite carcass and maternal genetics
Rare outcross opportunities for Wagyu breeders looking to diversify pedigrees
Marbling-focused Wagyu genetics alongside balanced growth and maternal packages
Bulk Wagyu semen packages that combined complementary sires into convenient breeding options
Genetics From Across the Wagyu Breed
The Big 250 brought together Fullblood Wagyu genetics representing many well-known programs within the Wagyu industry.
The offering included Wagyu sires and Wagyu donor families from programs such as Triangle B Ranch, Sumo Cattle Co., Mayura, HP Wagyu, Arubial, Olive Grove, Macquarie, Lone Mountain, and more. These genetics have played an important role in the continued advancement of the Fullblood Wagyu breed and provided breeders with a wide variety of options to fit their breeding goals.
Alongside these respected programs, we were proud to showcase the continued progress of our own WILD Wagyu genetics program.
The sale featured several WILD herd sires, including WILD Architect 32K, WILD Broker 112L, WILD Navigator 28M, WILD Bookkeeper 199M, WILD Accountant 165M, WILD Hitman 74M, and others. These Fullblood Wagyu bulls represent years of thoughtful breeding decisions and our continued commitment to producing cattle that can make a positive impact on the future of the Wagyu breed.
Embryo Opportunities Built for the Next Generation
The Fullblood Wagyu embryo offering highlighted thoughtfully planned matings that combined proven Wagyu donor females with some of today's most sought-after Wagyu sires.
Throughout the sale, breeders had access to embryo matings featuring sires such as HP Wagyu Reliable R0157H, HP Wagyu Triumph T0190, Sumo Michifuku P647, Sumo Monjiro Q51, Genjiro, Mayura L0010, WILD Architect 32K, WILD Broker 112L, HP Wagyu Sanjinami Doi, and many more. Together, these matings represented a balance of proven performance, maternal strength, carcass quality, and exciting opportunities for the next generation of Fullblood Wagyu cattle.
Thank You!
To everyone who registered, placed bids, purchased genetics, or helped spread the word about The Big 250, thank you.
The support we continue to receive from fellow breeders, producers, and members of the Wagyu community is something we never take for granted. Sales like this are only possible because of the relationships we've built throughout the cattle industry and the shared commitment to advancing the Wagyu breed.
Whether you purchased a single straw of Wagyu semen, invested in Wagyu embryo matings, or simply took the time to study the offering, thank you for being part of this year's sale. We appreciate your trust in our program and look forward to continuing to serve breeders through future genetic offerings.
We'd also like to thank the team at Wagyu365 for another great sale and for everything they do to support the Wagyu industry. We appreciate their continued partnership and the platform they've built to connect breeders and quality genetics across the breed.
What excites us even more is the amount of data that will be generated on this bull over the coming years. At Wilders, we will be producing significant Fullblood Wagyu data, while our partners at Genesis Enterprises will simultaneously be generating large amounts of F1 data.
The combination of both Fullblood and F1 performance data across multiple environments should make Navigator an extremely important sire moving forward.
